Your real address doesn't belong everywhere

A clean boundary for every short-term signup

Temporary email is ideal for verification codes, trial notifications, and one-time download emails. It separates unfamiliar websites from your long-term identity, making it harder for marketing lists, data breaches, and spam to reach your everyday inbox.

Keep signups separate from your identity

When you don't want to register with your real email, use the current temporary address instead. The site sees only this short-lived address, so your private inbox never enters its user database.

Read verification codes as soon as they arrive

The page checks for new messages every 10 seconds and also offers manual refresh. The message list and email content appear together, with no account or page switching required.

Let it expire when you're done

New mailboxes last three hours by default. You can renew them for another three hours at any time, up to a 24-hour total lifetime. When the task is complete, there's no extra long-term account to maintain.

Get started in three steps

From receiving an address to reading your first email

No password is needed, and you don't have to give Hide your phone number. Your session is saved in the current browser and the parameterized page link, so a refresh can restore an unexpired inbox.

1

Copy the generated address

Opening the page automatically creates an address that looks like a regular email. Copy it and paste it into a site that requires verification or offers a download.

2

Stay on this page while it arrives

Automatic refresh adds new messages to the list on the left. The unread dot stays until you open the email yourself; it won't mark messages as read ahead of time.

3

Change it or leave when finished

When the task is complete, get a new address and discard the old inbox. To keep receiving mail at the same address, use a forwarding alias instead.

Know the boundaries

What a temporary inbox can—and can't—do

Hide is designed for low-risk, short-term email tasks. For banking, healthcare, account recovery, or credentials you must keep long term, use an email account you control continuously.

No signup An address is created when you open the page
3 hours by default Extendable, with a 24-hour maximum lifetime
No attachment storage The list only indicates that the original email included an attachment
100 MB per email Messages over the limit are rejected
Automatic polling New messages usually appear within seconds
Session recovery Refreshing keeps the same address while it remains active
Delete individual emails Organize your current inbox your way
No platform compatibility guarantee Some services block disposable domains

Need long-term email?

Keep your real address private with a permanent forwarding alias

Temporary email expires, while a forwarding alias can stay on subscriptions, shopping accounts, and public profiles long term. Messages arrive at Hide first, then forward to your real address. Pause or delete aliases anytime, and view a 30-day archive in the dashboard.

Common questions before you start

What else would you like to know about disposable email?

Can a disposable email receive verification codes?

Yes. Use the generated address to register, and verification emails will appear automatically in your inbox. Some platforms reject temporary email domains; if that happens, change the address or use permanent forwarding.

How long does a temporary email last?

Each new address is valid for three hours by default. Clicking “Extend” restores the remaining time to three hours, but the total lifetime from creation cannot exceed 24 hours.

What if my temporary email doesn't receive messages?

First, check that the pasted address is complete. Then refresh and give the sender some time to deliver the message. If it still doesn't arrive, change the address; don't rely on a temporary inbox for important email.

Will refreshing the page change my address?

No. As long as the address hasn't expired, Hide prioritizes restoring the same inbox from the page parameters or local storage. A new address is created silently only after the old one expires or becomes invalid.

Why can't I download attachments?

The temporary inbox doesn't store attachments, reducing the file-storage risk of short-lived addresses. The list indicates when an original email includes an attachment; use a permanent forwarding alias to receive files.

Does an anonymous email mean complete anonymity?

A disposable address can hide your real email, but it can't erase other records left by websites, browsers, or network services. Treat it as a tool for reducing email exposure—not a promise of identity anonymity.
